November 1, 2015 - Halloween Show

HalloweenThis was the night when we turn the clocks back an hour, and go back on Standard Time, which means that, at 2:00, the time drops back to 1:00, making this a seven hour LE. Also, LE began at midnight, right after Halloween had concluded, so it was a special Halloween Program. Almost all of the music was Halloween themed, metal and comedy songs and skits, and stand up comedy. Present were, EVD, Rick and Randy from "The Metallic Onslaught", Justin, Gorgar, Nikki, and, someone who hasn't been here in a year and a half, Kal. Everyone was asked what the first movie that really scared them was, and also, what the last movie was that really scared them. Those present who had not already done so were also asked what their earliest memory was. As it was Halloween, a Ouija Board was brought out, and EVD and Randy tried it. It said Rick kill, already that was two words you don't want in the same sentence! It said Rick kill Justin. Rick appeared to be possessed, and went after Justin, who fled for his life. Rick then had no memory of what had happened. Justin was calling himself Towely, as well, that is what he was dressed as. Randy had plants growing all over him, and a pretty yellow flower growing out of his head. No, this was not his Halloween costume, this was thanks to Jeffie, who has been seeding Randy with spores weeks earlier on The Metallic Onslaught. They then enacted to of those theinsanedomain.com Questions that used to get asked to people regularly. First, they were popping a bunch of balloons with Kal's face and name on them, then, they knocked Randy out, by asking him if something smelled like chloroform, and Randy, apparently not being too bright, actually sniffed it to let them know. When he came to, he was in a room, where there were no exits, he had only a traffic cone, six red pens, and a sock monkey puppet, and he was told he had to use those items to get out of the room, which Randy was unable to figure out how to do, he's not McGyver, after all. Then Azkath told him that he had eight owls in his tree, a phrase that, for some unknown reason, drives Randy totally insane, he started laughing hysterically, and babbling incoherently, and, eventually collapsed, never figuring out how to get out of the room, so I guess he'll still be there next week, unless someone else finds him and lets him out. There was something that there hasn't been in a very long time, a Gorgar's Corner, where Gorgar told us how he's been, and then got to pick his favorite Halloween song. He picked the song that gave him his name, "Gorgar", it's not exactly a Halloween song, but it was fitting, and it is by the band Helloween. There was no Old School Hour, to get more Halloween stuff in, but there was a Halloween Cover Set, at 4:00. There were segments of Movie Time, and TV and Internet programs were discussed as well. Nathan was MIA, we hope he's not dead, or he probably wisely stayed away, knowing he probably would be if he showed up, as we had all kinds of horrible things planned for him. And so thus went our Special Seven Hour Long Halloween Program...

October 11, 2015 - Blast from Oblivion, Jim Sadist Tribute, and GorGar!

LEPresent were, EVD, Nathan, his friend, Dylan, Rob, Splatterguts, who is the one man band, Blast From Oblivion, people who haven't been here in quite a while, Nikki and Adam, and, someone who hasn't been here in an even longer while, at least a year and a half, GORGAR!!!!! There was a set of music in tribute to Jim Sadist, drummer for the band Nun Slaughter, who had passed away in the past week. At 2:00, The Old School Hour. At 4:00, The Cover Set, only, this week, it wasn't a Cover Set. It was something inspired by an idea EVD had a few weeks back. He said, "You know what would be a good idea", then said "Never mind". But when asked what it was, he said there should be a set of music that was the original songs. At the time, it was kinda dismissed, but Azkath decided it could work, and, even though following an idea of EVD's is usually a dangerous thing to do, this one was actually a good one, a set of songs that were all the originals of the songs that Metallica had made more well known. There were segments of Movie Time, and some TV programs were discussed as well...

June 13, 2010 - New Style of Russian Roulette

EVD was there. The background theme music for Show Listings this week was the theme from the movie "Alien", which Just Joe and EVD both knew sounded really familiar, that they knew they knew it, but neither one could quite figure out what it was from and had to be told, however they still are way ahead of me, who couldn't even get that it was the theme from "Star Wars" the week before, how pathetic is that?! For Russian Roulette this week, it was done differently this time... A bullet would play, because the computer would go on randomly picking songs until one did, no matter how long it took. Unless of course it still hadn't played one by 6:00 AM, I mean I don't think we were just going to plow right over The Salt Creek Show's time until a bullet finally played, but you never know. In any case that didn't happen, so the question didn't come up. If a bullet played on an odd number it would be for Just Joe, anything odd always has to involve Just Joe, and he would get to play a set of music. If the bullet played on an even number, Foul Mouth Girl would get to play a set of music. And, in the unlikely event that a bizarre EVD song played, then EVD would get to play a set of music. And, after about five songs, a bullet played, and, on this night, the highly unlikely actually happened, William Shatner singing "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds", a definite EVD song! So EVD got to pick a set of music, three songs, Iron Maiden's "Wasted Years" Megadeath's "Peace Sells But Who's Buying", and, Zadoc And The Nightmare's "Off With Her Head", actually a good set of music. There was a segment of Adventures In Listening, and, Movie Time was done throughout the night. Gorgar was there in the final hour after a long absence. He told us about the problems he's had while he's been away, Bells Palsy, and Mono. Happily they are over now, and he's back to normal, or, as he himself said, as normal as it gets for him. We're all glad you're feeling better, Gorgar.

June 20, 2010 - Psyche Corporation and Vindicator

Genevieve, of the band Psyche Corporation, was there for most of the night. Her music was played, including a new song. www.psychecorporation.com is her website, she rocks. The Enforcer was there for a little while at the beginning of the night. He informed us that he won't be around for a couple weeks, as he is getting married, and will be honeymooning in Mexico. So Congratulations Enforcer, good luck with all that. Vic, the rhythm guitarist for the band Vindicator called in for an extended interview. He talked about his band, and promoted a concert they would be performing at, in Buffalo, in a couple days. Some songs from his band's CD were played throughout the night. They are cool. For Russian Roulette, it was the same rules as last week: If a bullet played on an odd number, Just Joe would get to play a set of music. If a bullet played on an even number, Foul Mouth Girl would get to play a set of music. And, if a bizarre, EVD song played? As EVD was not there this night, in the highly unlikely event that that would happen two weeks in a row, Genevieve would get to play a set of music. After two rounds, no bullets played, and Russian Roulette was ended there for this night. There was a segment of Adventures In Listening, and two Segments of Movie Time. Gorgar was there in the final hour, and something happened that hasn't in a while... Gorgar's Corner. Not Gorgar's Glamorama, which is similar, yet a completely different thing, trust us, but the original, which preceded that, Gorgar's Corner. Gorgar's pick for this week was the band Crash Diet, with the song "Native Nature...

July 4, 2010 - Dead Host Drill

Azkath had a test for everyone there... He wanted to see how each of them would do running the program if someone had to take over because he was dead, who would be the best one for the task. He gave each one of them a hypothetical situation in which he died, they involved him going outside, because he overheats easily, and it is summer, very hot weather. In these hypotheticals, while he's outside, something kills him, he spontaneously combusts, he's run over by a herd of moose, an asteroid hits him, Gorgar is driving in his car, has a heart attack, dies, his car hits Azkath, that jolt revives Gorgar, but kills Azkath, and, a herd of deer, looking for Gorgar, shreds Azkath into a million pieces. The first one to try taking over the show was EVD. After accidentally shutting off the microphone for several seconds, he tried to play Queensryche, but Rob Zombie played instead. Despite EVD's claims that he hates Rob Zombie, we know it isn't true, it's the same thing as when he claims to hate his present last week, a framed picture of George W. Bush, it's a lie, he really loves it. EVD destroyed half the studio, he said in his attempts to get the Rob Zombie to stop playing, but we know it was really due to his wild enthusiasm for the music, he got a little, well, actually, a lot, carried away. It didn't look like EVD would be the best choice to run the show. Next to be tested was Dave. And what happened when he took over? Why dead silence, because Dave is living up to the award he was presented with last week proclaiming him the worst co-host ever, and he was yet again, not there when he was supposed to be. Obviously Dave would not be a very good choice either. Next up was Foul Mouth Girl. She did manage to play some Shotgun Messiah, one of her favorite bands, despite not doing very well at running the board, pushing a lot of wrong buttons, then she played Deicide. Now, like EVD, when she says she hates Deicide, we all know that is not the truth, she loves them, they're her favorite band, why she even likes them better than Shotgun Messiah! So when she walked away from the board, and said it was to get away from the Deicide, we know that was not the reason, she probably wanted to rock out to the band. She also was not looking a very likely candidate to run things. Just Joe was next. And he has actually run the show before, so he was certain he could do better than everyone thus far. He said he was going to play the Queensryche that EVD had wanted to play, but hadn't been able to. But, when he pressed the button, a techno version of The Smurfs was all that would play. Then he tried to play Divinity Destroyed, then Others, and finally, his beloved Elf, but the only thing that would play was techno-Smurfs. Well, I guess it could have been much worse, it could have been The Teletubbies. So, Just Joe had failed at taking over the show as miserably as he fails at almost everything else he tries to do. There was only one person left to test, Gorgar. He too tried to play Queensryche, and screamed. Although there was absolutely nothing there that they could see that he could have electrocuted himself on, he had apparently managed to do just that, and appeared to be dead. Only Gorgar could get himself electrocuted by trying to play a CD! Azkath slapped Gorgar hard repeatedly, trying to revive him, but it didn't work. However, playing Dokken for him, did. So I guess we have learned two very important things from this little experiment, one, Queensryche is very unlucky and probably playing it should be avoided, and, two, Azkath just can't die, he is not allowed to! Azkath told Gorgar that Just Joe had been the one to slap him in the face so hard, and that that was why his face was hurting. There was a segment of Adventures In Listening, two segments of Movie Time, and, Anomaly Corner was interspersed throughout the latter portion of the night.

July 18, 2010 - The I-Dose Experiments Begin

The Enforcer was there in the first talk break, he told us about his honeymoon in Mexico. Little Gorgar and Adam were there for a while. Azkath decided to try out an experiment on Just Joe. He wanted to test I-dosing on him. This is an Internet craze where you listen to music tones through headphones, so you have a different tone in each ear, and it creates a beat in your head, and you lie down, in a dark, quiet place, try to put yourself in a meditative state, stay that way for a length of time, say half an hour, and it's supposed to do things to your mind, which, according to some, could lead to bad things, and, according to others, does not. Azkath wanted to see what affect, if any, it would have on Just Joe. He had several sounds to try on him. The first one, although Just Joe claimed it had no affect on him, to everyone else it was clear that it had. He seemed kind of out there, breezy kind of. He decided to try that one again. Then he was given another one to try. After that one he seemed very jumpy. Trying another made him really agitated and angry, throwing stuff, and trying to destroy the studio, and acting very hostile. Although Just Joe kept insisting they were having no affect on him, he said he didn't want to try any more. Azkath said they would play Russian Roulette. If a bullet played, Just Joe would try one more. If no bullet, he wouldn't. A bullet right on the first song. But Just Joe refused to go downstairs and listen to any more. So Azkath tricked him into going near the stairs, saying that he had something for him that he would really like. He then kicked him down the stairs, and played him the last one. Although Just Joe kept insisting they had no affect on him, this one obviously made him very happy. He was all polite and happy and fuzzy for the rest of the night. So I-dosing clearly works on Just Joe, even if he doesn't realize it. There was Anomaly Corner interspersed throughout the last portion of the program, and two segments of Movie Time...

August 8, 2010 - Joe vs The Water Balloons

Just JoeEVD was there, but Dave was not, which leads us to conclude that EVD and Dave are the same person, or that EVD can morph into either one, because whenever EVD is there, Dave isn't, and vice versa. EVD strongly denies this, but no one believes him. Two women representing Wicked Ithaca dropped by to tell us about that upcoming event. Victoria was there for a little while and she concurred that EVD and Dave must be one and the same. Gorgar and Little Gorgar were there early in the night, much earlier than Gorgar is usually there. Azkath explained I-dosing to EVD and Gorgar. When Russian Roulette was played... If a bullet played, Gorgar would get to try the I-dosing. If no bullet, Azkath would play a special song just for Just Joe. And, if an EVD bullet played, EVD would get to try the I-dosing. No bullet. However, Just Joe was elsewhere when the set was playing, and wasn't listening, so they lied to him and told him a bullet had played. So Gorgar went down to the basement to lie quietly still and I-Dose. While he was doing that, Little Gorgar got to take Just Joe outside and throw water balloons at him, he came back inside soaked. When Gorgar finally came back, he was very un-Gorgar like, he was actually happy, very happy, which is never the case with him. He was so mellow and happy that he didn't even freak out in the slightest when told there was a big spider on his arm, or even when he was told that there were deer. He said it didn't matter, he liked deer. And, unlike Just Joe, who still tries to insist, no matter how much evidence there is to the contrary, that the I-dosing doesn't work at all, Gorgar readily admitted that they worked great. Gorgar departed all smiles and happy, again, an unbelievable sight. Azkath told Just Joe that they had lied to him, that there had been no bullet. But he said he would now play Just Joe the special song he would really like. It was a cover of "Mr. Roboto", by Mose Giganticus, which both Just Joe, and I, did enjoy very much indeed. There was a segment of Movie Time. Then, when he was supposed to be on the air, Just Joe wasn't there. Foul Mouth Girl was sent to look for him, and brought him back from the basement. And he had MP3 headphones on. Azkath accused him of I-dosing. Just Joe tried to deny it, but, once again, Azkath found his MP3 player on Just Joe. Azkath told Just Joe that he was not allowed to I-dose any more, and, besides, why should he care, since they have no effect on him at all? Just Joe kept trying to sneak off with the MP3 player again, so Azkath gave him a brutal beat down. Then he kept taunting an injured Just Joe with the MP3 player, asking him if he wanted it, when Just Joe said yes, telling him he couldn't have it, telling him "here it is", then saying "but not for you", and pulling it away from him. In the last talk break of the night, however, Just Joe once again had managed to get his hands on the MP3 player (he is nothing if not determined). When Azkath tried to grab it away from him, he ran away with it, and, because he was running so hard, and not paying attention to where he was going, he fell right down the basement stairs. But he still had the MP3 player, and he was now down in the basement with it, so I guess, regardless of how he got there, he was happy. That could change, or increase, depending on which I-dose he started listening to down there...

October 3, 2010 - Wicked Ithaca Aftermath

MontageIn the first portion of the program there were a ton of people there. Three bands, Pandora's Toybox, The Lobster Quadrille, and Psyche Corporation, all of whom had performed at Wicked Ithaca prior to being on LE, Gorgar, Little Gorgar, Adam, The Enforcer, Dave, and, Rick, Wulfie, and Wulfie's brother BILL!, the last three from The Metallic Onslaught. The bands were interviewed, first Pandora's Toybox, and then The Lobster Quadrille, both of which were first timers here, and they only were able to stay for the first couple of hours. Both bands's music was played, a couple of tracks each. They rock. Morte has another band called Sorrowseed, which can be found at www.sorrowseed.com. A song of whose was also played, which also rocked. Psyche Corporation, which is Psyche Chimère, who has been on LE many times, was there for the whole program. Her music was played as well, www.psychecorporation.com is her website. She is cool. After the first two mentioned bands had departed, they sent Just Joe, all covered in Saran Rap in his attempt to make himself look invisible, out to have Wulfie, in his wolf mask, chase him through town. BILL! went with them, and streamed it on his Android phone to the LE website so the listeners could view it live. Someone accused Just Joe of being on pot, and someone else kept asking him for pot, with a cop right nearby, a sample of the brilliant humanity out there. They recounted there adventures when they returned. Tribute to the Past Russian Roulette was played. There are now ten thousand nine hundred eighty nine songs on the computer. If a bullet played, Rick, Wulfie, and BILL!, would each get to break a record over Just Joe's head. If no bullet, Just Joe would get to break a record over Rick's, Wulfie's, and BILL!'s heads. A bullet, the band XYZ. Just Joe got records broken over his head by Rick, Wulfie, BILL!, and Azkath smashed one over Wulfie's head for saying a bad word on the air on accident. Just Joe was knocked out for a bit, but he soon recovered. They decided to hypnotize Wulfie and send him into the future, to a week after the end of the world, to December 30th, 2012, to see if he saw the same thing Just Joe had seen when they did that to him a long time ago. Just Joe had seen, he said, bunnies, lots and lots of bunnies, the land was covered with them, but there was something different about the bunnies, they were frightening, and Just Joe still gets traumatized when it's mentioned to him, especially when they tell him they were probably shoggoths. Wulfie was sent to the future, and they asked him to tell them what he saw. He did see the bunnies, and shoggoths, he said the shoggoths were eating the bunnies. Then he said that, upon closer inspection, there was something wrong about those bunnies. Yes, there was something very not alright about them, he said it was bad, very bad, so bad in fact, that he couldn't say it, so, it was unspeakable. He was brought back. But, before Azkath brought him out of the hypnotic state, he told him that, although he would not remember hearing this, now, every time he heard the word metal, he would be allergic to wolves. And, when Wulfie was out of his trance, they started saying the word metal a lot, using it to describe a lot of the songs they were playing, as in "this is very metal", or "this isn't nearly as metal as I thought it would be". And, indeed, every time they uttered the word metal, Wulfie would start sneezing a lot. So, since Wulfie calls himself The Metal Wulf, now he won't be able to say or hear his name without violently sneezing, and he won't have any idea why, unless he reads this, of course, or listens to LE again. There started to be an Adventures In Listening, but the first song up was SOOOOO bad, sounding almost like a country song, not a metal (sorry Wulfie) song at all, that it actually was the first song ever to break the rule of Adventures In Listening, that, no matter how much it sucked, it would be let play all the way through, but no one could bear to hear this one all the way through, so, for the first time ever in this segment, the song, and the segment, was halted. There was two segments of Movie time, with Wulfie, Rick, BILL! , and Psyche Chimère participating. Rick, Wulfie,BILL!, and Psyche Chimère stayed for the whole program, though BILL! fell asleep about halfway through the night...
