June 2, 2019 - 25th Anniversary of Azkath running the Show

EveryoneFriday, June 3rd, 1994 was the first show on WVBR that Seriah Azkath hosted in any way. It was still called The Metal Cage back then, and Mary, who was also a host at the time, hosted part of the show. Azkath's first full show was June 10th, 1994. The first Saturday show, and when the name likely changed to The Last Exit for the Lost was January 20, 1996. In this and the next few shows, we have on some old guests and co-hosts, play old clips from the show, and music from bands that were on the show or played on the show regualrly. We also start the show with a Tribute to Matt Noldy, who had passed away a few hours before air time. Matt had been the vocalist and drummer for Tomorrow's Dream, later turned Never the Sunshine. He was a friend of the show, and Tomorrow's Dream was the first band Azkath ever interviewed on WVBR.

May 26, 2019 - What happened to Azkath? Melodic Terror Live...

Melodic Terror

A Strange Night. Azkath was missing. Joe claimed to have him tied up in his basement with the help of Fidget. Kevin said things. No one understood. Joe did the first set, Fidget did the next two. They were LONG sets. Azkath showed up. He was remarkably calm considering what happened. He took things back over. Pointed out that it was Kevin's last night on the show after, I think, 3 years. He was graduating and moving to NYC. On one of his first visits, Kevin was abused by Porno Joe. Seriah decided that he should meet Porno Joe again, but with weapons. Kevin knocked Joe out and shoved a trumpet stand... Well, nevermind. It was also Ruth's last night, at least till she comes back to visit, and Matt's last show till August. Ruth, also graduating, plans on making regular visits. Matt is still in school, so he will be back. Melodic Terror made their second appearance on The Last Exit, they are dark Rock from the near Ithaca area. Played mostly new songs for us.

May 5, 2019 - No Pants Day along with Dark Reverence and Waking Dream Live in Studio

LE

It was No Pants Day, but only Just Joe and EVD celebrated. Eric also discovers the Giant Hammer. Waking Dream from NYC perform, or 1 of the 2 members, at least, and Dark Reverence from New Jersey also play, in alernating sets. Both are Goth bands who were preparing for a NE Tour. We also did a Tribute to the late Will Price. Will was a regular around the Ithaca music scene back in the 90's before moving to Atlanta. He passed away very suddenly. He was also one of the first people / bands that Seriah had on the show back in 1994 shortly after starting.

Swollen Rooster

Elmira, NY based Punk band Swollen Rooster visit and perform live, and we kill an Easter Bunny, because that's what you have to do on Easter. This was NOT our traditional We Love Satan Show, do to the fact that Azkath didn't feel he could out-do last year when he played all Christian Metal... Also, Tim and Olvia of Undead Messengers visit us and talk about the upcoming Finger Lakes Metal Fest. Videos below include the band performance and interview, and the killing of the Easter Bunny, in normal video and 360 format.

April 7, 2019 - Jen Kulter and Travis Johns - Experimental Noise

Noise Coming

Experimental Noise Artists Travis Johns and Jen Kutler visit the show. Jen had been in a band called Choose years ago that we did a show with at The Haunt, and now does solo work, in this case with hacked vibrators as you can watch in the video below. Travis makes unique pedals, and again, in the video more than the audio you can see what he does with them, in this case using light sensors.
