May 29, 2011 - Sorrow of Batavia

Listen to the Show

Pictures

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard;
The band Sorrow Of Batavia was there for the first couple of hours. They were there straight from having performed at the latest The Last Exit For The Lost Presents Show at The Haunt. One of the songs from that performance, yes, from just a couple of hours in the past, was even played. It was rockin'! The band had a new member, Cody, who had never been there before, so he had to be broken in. Just Joe gave him a lap dance, and then he was wishboned. Well, Cody, better wishboned, then if you take the wish part away from that word! Then Just Joe threw him down the stairs. Some members of The Metallic Onslaught, up from attending The Last Exit For The Lost Presents Show, were there, Rick and BBBIIIIILLLLL!!!!. They were there for about half the night. Rick reviewed The Finger Lakes Metal Fest, which had been the weekend before, and which The Metallic Onslaught had hosted. There were three segments of Movie Time, with Rick and BBBIIIIILLLLL!!!! contributing to some of them. And Just Joe, once again, actually talked about only adult fare. The last hour was, as almost always, The Rare Obscure And Classic Music Hour, which is always a cool treat...

June 5, 2011 - Aliens and CypherSeer

Listen to the Show

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard;
Dave, for once, was actually there, as were EVD and Kal. Since EVD and Dave are the same person, not sure how he pulled that off, but there you are. Just Joe came in from outside and claimed he had seen the aliens again, he's been claiming that quite a lot lately, but never manages to get any proof of them, so no one believes him. And, once again, he had pictures, and, yet again, they were only pictures of where he said the aliens had been, but, once again, there were no aliens. Just Joe was bothering EVD, so EVD humped him, traumatizing him greatly, he kept howling and wailing, very loudly, despite Dave's efforts to comfort him. Sergio, the guitarist from the band CypherSeer, called in for an extended interview, which was followed by a track from their Cd. They are a cool band, www.cypherseer.com is their website, and they are on facebook and myspace and they have a video on youtube on their record label's channel, www.nightmarerecords.com   Although Dave claimed he was going to stay the entire night, which would have been the first time in a very long while that that had happened, as, being the worst co-host ever, when he does bother to show up, he always leaves quite soon, like after an hour or two. And, despite his claim that he would stay all night this time, he still is living up to his title, because he did not. He went out to look for the aliens, after Just Joe kept insisting that they did exist, and he never came back. After a while, Kal went out to look for Dave, and he never returned. EVD and Just Joe got into a humping each other fight. As the night wore on and still no sign of either Dave or Kal, EVD went out to find them and bring them back... And he never came back. Azkath and Just Joe both went outside to look for all of them, but they couldn't find them. They did both come back at least. Not sure what would have happened to the remainder of the program if they both had failed to do so as well. There were three segments of Movie Time, with Dave, Kal, and EVD (yes, EVD actually had something to contribute this time) participating in some of them. The final hour was not The Rare Obscure And Classic Music Hour this time, the host gets to choose these things, and this week he went with newer music. It was cool music, though, as always, LE is all about quality music...

June 12, 2011 - Hammer Time

Listen to the Show - Pictures

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; Last week, three people, Dave, EVD, and Kal, had gone out to look for the aliens that Just Joe had insisted he had seen, and none of them had ever come back. Well, this week, still no Dave, but since he is the worst co-host in the world, that doesn't mean much, still no EVD, but Kal was there. He said the next thing he could remember after leaving was being home, naked, with no memory of how he had gotten there. Kal brought with him tonight a giant hammer that he had made. It was used when Tribute To The Past/Russian Roulette was played. If a bullet, any over played or glam song, or two covers constitutes a bullet, played, Adam and Kal would get to beat on Just Joe with the hammer. If no bullet, then Just Joe would get to beat on Adam and Kal with the hammer. And, if an EVD song played, I.E., something by Shatner, or Nemoy, or some other bizarre thing like that, then Azkath would beat on all of them with the hammer. No bullet. Just Joe beat down, first Adam, then Kal, with the hammer. Later, a friend of Kal's, Grunty, who was listening, requested that they beat down Kal. So, first Azkath gave him a beat down. But apparently Grunty missed that, so they decided to do it again, for Grunty. Azkath and Just Joe both beat down Kal. Just Joe also humped Kal, a lot. Azkath had Just Joe hold Kal upside down, while he, Azkath, beat Kal's ass with the hammer repeatedly. Then Azkath told Just Joe to throw Kal down the stairs, which he did. Then Azkath threw Just Joe down the stairs on top of Kal. When they were back upstairs, Kal said he was leaving. Then he fell over and was gurgling with fluid running out of his mouth. Azkath told Just Joe to fix Kal. Just Joe's idea of doing that was to molest him some more. That didn't seem to fix him, so Azkath told Just Joe to get Kal out of there, to toss him outside. Which Just Joe did. Um, Kal, a couple thoughts... You might want to consider trying to find better friends than this Grunty. And, do you really think it was such a good idea to make and bring that giant hammer, since you wound up being the one it was used on the most? I think he had planned for it to be used on Just Joe a lot, but that's not how things wound up turning out. There was a segment of Adventures In Listening. And there were three segments of Movie Time, with Kal participating in the first one. There was a set of five songs by the band AC, in memory of their vocalist, Seth Putnam, who had passed away, either that day, or very recently. The last hour was a Rare Obscure And Classic Music hour...

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; Two members of the band Neon Guillotine were there for a couple of hours. They were interviewed, and all of the tracks from their CD were played. They are a cool death metal band, they are on facebook and myspace. After they had gone, Just Joe said he would debut and perform new songs from his band, The Squirtin' Chubbies. And he did, he had a guitar, and he screeched, err, I mean, he sang, the title track from their new album "There's A Raccoon On My Face". The lyrics were "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! GET IT OFF!!!!". Um, are you sure "get it off!" refers to the raccoon!? I really hope so! Another track he performed was "I'm On Fire", and, no, that is not a cover of the Bruce Springsteen song "I'm On Fire" from the '80's you may remember. No this song went "AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!! PUT IT OUT!!!!". The new material was, um, well, it was quite something! I'm sure they have a monster hit on their hands, and that they won't be able to keep up with the demand. Just Joe has now also created a page for The Squirtin' Chubbies on facebook so you can go check them out there for yourselves. There were two segments of Movie Time. The last hour was The Rare Obscure And Classic Music Hour. And Skyclad was sort of the pseudo Feature Artist of the night, as music from throughout their career was featured all throughout the program, with some rare obscure and classic stuff from them interspersed in the last hour.

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; Adam and Little Gorgar were there for about the first three hours. At 2:00, Deanna Deadly called in for an extended interview. She is a fetish model, and a performance artist, who hosts a radio program in Chicago, www.deannadeadly.com and www.facebook/modeldeannadeadly are the websites where you can find her. Now, Adam had been one of the people who had gone out looking for the aliens Just Joe insisted he kept seeing, a few weeks ago, and none of them had come back that night. Kal had later said the next thing he remembered was waking up at home naked with no memory of how he got there. Now Adam said the same thing had happened to him. Just Joe still was insisting that he was seeing aliens, and Adam said it was true, he could see them too. Azkath did not believe them, as he has never seen them. Just Joe and Adam told him to go outside and look, telling him where to look. Azkath told Adam that, if he didn't see anything, he was going to beat him down with a sledge hammer. He went, and came back saying he had seen nothing. He gave Adam a severe beat down with the sledge hammer. Later, Just Joe said the aliens were definitely outside, and that Azkath really needed to go check it out. Azkath said, ok, he would, but, if he didn't find anything, he would do the same thing to Just Joe that he had done to Adam. He told Just Joe to watch the sledge hammer. Just Joe said, ok, and clobbered Azkath over the head with it. He then took Azkath's clothes off, and put him outside on the steps. He took over running the show, saying that now Azkath would believe in the aliens. Azkath was out for a three song set. When he came to, he wanted to know why he was naked on the steps, and why his head really hurt. A lot. Just Joe said it was the aliens. Azkath said he couldn't explain it any other way, and so he guessed he had no choice but to believe Just Joe. He turned on cameras to record the aliens. The cameras caught nothing, but Azkath said there must be aliens, and he would solve the mystery. Just Joe asked Azkath if he remembered, a few weeks back, when Azkath had asked the question of everyone, who was dumb and who was dumber, Just Joe, or Dave. Well, Just Joe now told Azkath that there were no aliens, there never had been, that he had made up the whole thing, to get back at him for that, and to prove that he was not dumb. He also told Azkath that he had hit him over the head with the sledge hammer, and removed his clothing. Azkath was, quite understandably, disturbed by that, and also by the fact that Just Joe had actually outsmarted him. He had some trouble coming to terms with that, but seemed to do so. There were three segments of Movie Time, with a few of Just Joe's contributions being kid's ones again. The last hour was The Rare Obscure And Classic Music Hour. And, the month of June marks the seventeenth anniversary of this incarnation of this program. It has been around for twenty six years, and has had two other names, but it has been around in this incarnation since June of '94. So, A VERY HAPPY SEVENTEENTH ANNIVERSARY TO THE LAST EXIT FOR THE LOST!!!! It's been a great seventeen years!

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; Three fifths of the band Jane Dracula were there in the beginning portion of the program. They promoted their band's participation in the Women's Right To Rock Festival, which was the following weekend. All three tracks from their demo were played. they are cool, you can find them on facebook. Matt, the vocalist for the band Circus Of Dead Squirrels, called in shortly after 2:00 for an extended interview, followed by a track from his band's CD. They rock, www.circusofdeadsquirrels.net is their website. Rick, from The Metallic Onslaught, was there for the entire program. EVD and Kal were there for about the first half. EVD and Kal had been among the people who had left a few weeks ago, to find the aliens that Just Joe had kept insisting he saw, and then none of them had come back. Kal had claimed to have awakened at home, naked, with no memory of how that had happened. Other people had claimed that the same thing had happened to them. Then, last week, Just Joe had admitted that it had all been a hoax, to trick Azkath, because Azkath had said he was dumb. EVD had not been back since that night, so now Azkath asked if he had awakened at home naked, too. EVD said he had not, and claimed he had never said that he would be back that night, just that he would be back eventually, which was now. Azkath said that he had said "unlike everyone else, I'll be back", which meant that night, but EVD insisted he hadn't meant that, and that he had just gone home. There were three segments of Movie Time, with Rick and Kal contributing to some of them. And, no kid's ones from Just Joe this time. The last hour was The Rare Obscure And Classic Music Hour.

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; Kal, Adam, and, Little Gorgar were there. As was someone who hadn't been there in a year. No, not Dave, the worst co-host in the world, but that's a very good guess! No, it was Deron. Just Joe seemed very nervous when he learned that Deron would be there, and, when Deron arrived, Just Joe first tried to hide, then left, running away. When Deron had last been here, we had learned that he has three nipples. He now said that Just Joe had stolen his third nipple. He had suspected it, and now he said Just Joe had proven it with his guilty behavior. He said that, even though the third nipple had grown back, he was still really pissed off at Just Joe. When Just Joe returned, they got him to admit that he had stolen the nipple. They decided he needed to be punished for this, as well as for his having knocked out several people, Azkath, Kal, Adam, and possibly other people, and taking off their clothes, and telling them they had been kidnapped by aliens, which he had made up. They decided that for all that, he needed a comeuppance. Which, they decided, would come in the form of a severe beat down, to be administered by Azkath, Deron, and, Kal. They gave him a brutal beat down, and Kal did some very disturbing things with a poker, shoving it up... Well, lets put it this way, Just Joe is probably going to have some difficulty sitting down for quite a while. Then Deron gave Just Joe a vicious drop off the chair, and Just Joe wouldn't get up, or move, anymore, no matter what they did to try to get him to. He appeared to be dead. However, he has been dead quite a few times before, so no one was overly concerned. After a set of music, there had still been no sign of life from him. Then he suddenly just revived, even though he was very pale, and strangest of all, had no pulse, which Kal found so weird, that he said it was too much for him, and he was leaving. Just Joe wanted to know what had happened to him. They told him aliens had abducted him and probed him, and that that was why his butt hurt. Just Joe wondered why he wasn't naked then? They told him the aliens had probably done it through his clothes, since, understandably, they didn't want to see a naked Just Joe any more than anyone else does. As time passed, Just Joe did become less pale, and his pulse slowly returned as well. Weird. Only to Just Joe does stuff this weird happen. There were three segments of Movie Time. And the last hour was not The Rare Obscure And Classic Music Hour tonight, too much cool new stuff to get to, but the program did start off with an old school set to keep some old school flavor...

By Fire Eater Wizard;
One member of the band Drop Head, Keith, was there for the first two hours. He was interviewed, and several tracks from his band's CD were played. They rock, www.drop-head.com is their website, and you can also check them out on facebook. He was asked, and gave his answers to, a bunch of those wacky questions from theinsanedomain.com something that hasn't been done in quite a while. He also was treated to the great joy and pleasure of having Just Joe sit on his lap.

At 2:00 Andrew, from the band Eyes On Infinity, phoned in for an extensive interview, book ended by tracks from his band. They are very cool. Andrew told us how he is also doing orchestral, and chamber ensemble versions of his band's work. He has a website where he is trying to raise the funds to help with that, www.indiegogo.com/Rock-Band-Concerto is where you can help with that, and it is very cool, so, if you can at all spare a few bucks, every and any little bit can help, it is a very worthy project. He is also a classical composer. A clip of one of his band's songs done as the orchestra version was played. He is on facebook, and he has his own website, www.andrewrosciszewski.com

Someone who hasn't been here in quite a while, like three or four months, was there in the last two hours. No, once again, it was not Dave, although, as he is the worst co-host in the world, again, that would be a very good guess. But, no, it was Gorgar. There were two segments of Movie Time, with Gorgar participating in the second one. The last hour was not exactly The Rare Obscure And Classic Music Hour, the first half was newer stuff, but about the last half was old school and rarer music...

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard; Two bands were there for the first half of the program, Sanjuro Fields, and Hangman's Heart. Sanjuro Fields played several songs live and acoustic on the air, with Hangman's Heart playing with them on the last song they played. Very cool. Tracks from both band's CD's were played as well. They rock. They are both on facebook. They had both just come from performing at Castaways, and, since it had been like a hundred degrees out, and they had worked up good sweats playing, Just Joe was given the task of sniffing all of them to see who stunk the most. The winner was Rocco, from Hangman's Heart. Kal was there for the first half of the program. There were three segments of Movie Time, with Kal, and Keith, from Sanjuro Fields, participating in one of them. The last hour was not The Rare Obscure And Classic Music Hour this week, it was cool newer music...

Recap by Fire Eater Wizard;
Someone was there who hasn't been in a couple months. No, once again, Dave, the worst co-host in the world, though a very good guess, is not correct. No, it was EVD. Although, of course, there is the theory, pretty well proven, that Dave and EVD are the same person, so perhaps Dave was there after all. Throughout the night, alternate theories of science were discussed, like the theory that the universe is electric, and Atlantis, Aliens, and alternate theories to Einstein's theory of Relativity, and theories of how planets and asteroids came to be. Very interesting stuff. See, not only are we hilarious and insane, but we can also be intellectual and educational! Bet you didn't know that! There were several segments of Movie Time, with EVD participating in one of them, and a special guest for one of them, Mark Anbinder, long time WVBR personality. The last hour was, first half new music, last half, Rare Obscure And Classic Music...
